As our Chief Executive Officer, Chris brings an unparalleled depth of experience and expertise to our organization, with a distinguished career spanning 27 years in the financial services industry. His extensive background at numerous top-tier banks encompasses a broad range of disciplines, including leveraged and M&A financing, liquid asset financing, corporate banking, retail banking, and capital/financial markets. Chris is a recognized leader and an expert in the field, with special interests in Behavioural Capital, Corporate Finance, and Products Structuring across loan and derivative asset classes.

Throughout his career, Chris has held senior roles at numerous top-tier banks, where he has developed a unique understanding of the complex risk landscape and has played a key role in shaping the risk management strategies of several major financial institutions.

Chris has worked in Jersey’s financial services industry for more than 20 years, beginning his career in front-office roles across banking, corporate services and private client sectors before moving into compliance in 2015.

He is a Fellow of the International Compliance Association and holds an Advanced Certificate in Compliance, a Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance, and a Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention. He is also a professional member of STEP.

Chris lives in Jersey with his wife and four children. Outside work, he enjoys fishing, coaching junior football and singing in a male voice harmony group.

Thomas Holst is Chief Technology Officer of Bloomsbury Money. He leads technology strategy, engineering and platform architecture across the Group, and is responsible for taking Bloomsbury Money's platform into new markets and extending it into a single network for fiat currencies, regulated digital assets and local payment rails.

Thomas has spent 13 years building software at SAP, most of it in German health technology, where the bar on data protection and control is as high as it is in finance.

Manu brings a unique combination of strategic vision, industry expertise and leadership acumen to the organisation. With a primary focus on driving business growth and expansion, he leads Bloomsbury Money's macro strategy efforts, identifying and capitalizing on emerging trends and opportunities in the financial services sector. Manu expands strategic partnerships, fosters strong relationships with major financial institutions and collaborates with industry leaders to remain at the forefront of innovation.

Manu's career spans more than 20 years in front-office derivative sales within the financial services industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, building high-performing teams and delivering exceptional client service. Prior to founding Bloomsbury Money, he founded the Digital Asset electronic trading venue DeFinity Markets, and has held senior Sales & Trading roles at UK investment banks, including Lloyds Bank and Barclays Capital.

Michael has extensive experience in fintech and financial services, with a career built around client growth, relationship management and international business development.

Before co-founding Bloomsbury Money, Michael was Head of Relationship Management at ADSS in London, where he helped expand the firm’s global footprint. He later joined DeFinity Markets, where he continues to serve as Head of Sales, leading client acquisition and strategic growth. Over his career, he has developed relationships with financial institutions, hedge funds, family offices and proprietary trading firms across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

His expertise spans electronic trading, FX, digital assets, payments innovation, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity and data analytics, with a proven track record of driving adoption and building client trust in highly regulated markets.

Mike is head of trading at Bloomsbury Money, a London-based fintech firm focused on global banking and cross-border payments.

Mike brings 30 years of experience in institutional sales and trading, starting his stockbroking career trading securities on behalf of corporate and high net-worth clients before bridging the gap to digital assets and FX.

​

His deep understanding of the evolving market structure between traditional finance and digital assets will be pivotal as Bloomsbury Money scales its multi-asset offering.

With a background in Economics and experience working in a fast-paced startup environment, Oskar brings a commercial, analytical and client-focused approach to operations at Bloomsbury Money.

​

Over the past two years, Oskar has played a key role in helping build and scale the business, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing client relationships, supporting trading activity and contributing to sales. His work also spans the development of the company’s technical and operational infrastructure, helping to design processes, implement systems and strengthen the foundations needed to support a growing financial institution. Oskar combines attention to detail with a clear focus on growth, efficiency and client experience.

Ruby Manhas is Head of Private Wealth at Bloomsbury Money, a London-based fintech firm focused on global banking and cross-border payments.

She leads relationship management for corporate and ultra-high-net-worth clients, leveraging technology to optimize international capital flows.

​

Ruby previously served as head of investor relations at Jaguar Investments, where she grew assets under management for the firm's Fund of Fund and CTA strategies. Earlier, she was an ultra-high-net-worth wealth manager at Barclays Wealth & Investment Management, after starting her Barclays career in 2008 as a business development manager in corporate banking.

She holds a BSc in Biochemistry and an MSc. in Toxicology from the University of Birmingham.

Jamie has more than 10 years’ experience in Jersey’s financial services industry, having entered the sector straight from school in 2015.

He previously served as AML Manager at CSC Jersey, where he led the investor onboarding function for the fund administration service line. Prior to that, he was Operations and Compliance Manager / Deputy MLRO at Zodia Markets Jersey, where he applied his experience in trade operations, CDD and AML to support multiple functions within a small, dynamic team. He also brought strong knowledge of the digital asset sector to help improve efficiency and mitigate risk.

John C. Murray worked on Wall Street for many years. He began his career as a commodities trade advisor, specializing in precious metals. He later became the highest-ranked FX broker for Global Forex and Futures, which merged with GAIN Capital (Forex.com). After relocating to London, John transformed City Credit Capital into a global leader in the FX industry, where he spent 12 years building the brokerage into a global powerhouse.

John has extensive experience and a strong network within the crypto and DeFi industry. He works closely with hedge funds and family offices worldwide, helping them achieve success in the digital asset space. His expertise in global banking allows him to manage billions in capital annually through his banking relationships.

Academically, John holds a business degree from Syracuse University and an MBA from London Metropolitan University. Additionally, he has been a guest on CNBC, BBC, and Bloomberg Television, sharing his insights and analysis of the FX and digital asset markets.
